So I'm in need of a new pair of running shoes, but want to make sure that I get fit for them. Which running stores do you guys go to?

I went to the Foot Rx in downtown (old town) Mt. Vernon.  However, I just started running and have nothing else to compare it to as far as service, price, analysis?

I did a quick search on line and couldn't find them easily but found "Skagit running" ?

I am sure there is much more further south from us just due to population density

If you get a good sales person, Super Jock n Jills is good.

Exactly what I would say.  A great store, but try to make sure you get someone good to help you.

There is a store called Run 26 in Lynnwood near Lynnwood High School. Otherwise, I am all about Super Jock n Jill or Roadrunner.

The salesperson is the most important part of the deal. I usually pay more to go to a store that has more knowledgable staff. No bargain in buying the wrong shoe.

Super Jock N Jills. I tried other running stores but the people there were by far the most helpful and friendliest

Foot Zone at Redmond Town Center was great.  They made sure I had the right shoe, and once, when it turned out the shoe wasn't exactly right after all, they gave me new ones even though the 30 days had long gone by. They have a few other branches of their store, as well.

I'm a fan of Fairhaven Runners in Bellingham.  I've only been to two running stores, but had a much better experience at Fairhaven.

to resurrect an old thread...

Does anyone know if these stores are able to analyze my gate either with a really good eye or using the treadmill/video setup. Not sure if I am neutrol, pronator or supinator at this point (if one of the later I doubt it is by much) and I want to make sure whatever I am doing for running, my shoes do not hurt my knees. Thanks!

Any store worth their salt will at least do a visual analysis before putting you in shoes.  If they don't, go somewhere else.

Not sure about the which shoe stores do video analysis, but here's a link to The Sports Medicine Clinic in Ballard; they do video gait analysis as well as bike fittings.

Fleet Feet in Bonney Lake had me run on a treadmill barefoot while videoing my feet from the front, back and sides. It was very interesting and the sales woman, I can't remember her name but she had just done IM Canada, was excellent.

Runners Soul in Spokane is great. I work there, so of course I'm going to say that! But, we are the only running specialty store on the Eastside!!

Seattle Running Company - hands down the best - just my opinion. And you can say hi to Scott Jurek if he is not out running with his dog!!!

Everyday Athlete in Kirkland is quite awesome! They know their shoes and know how to watch you. Plus, they are a great bunch of folks!
