I did the half two years ago. Flat, flat, flat. Oh, did I mention flat? The only elevation is the bridge from Nags Head to Roanake Island. I believe the height of the bridge is 35' and the climb is fairly gradual. It's a great run with a lot of local support and I highly recommend it. The finish through downtown Manteo is pretty cool. When I did it before, the after-party was rained out but I heard last year was a lot of fun. My wife and I are doing the full Mary this year.

I think you'll have a great time.

The 2006 had close to 3,000 if I recall correctly - 1,500 for the half and 1,500 for the full. No idea about last year.

So what's all this rain going to do to those fire roads in the maritime forest? Hope it's not too slippery and sloppy.
