Subject: cervelo shipping delays???
Well, I ordered a new p2c ultegra 56cm.... 3 weeks ago....

I was told when I ordered from my LBS that cervelo said it was in stock and would ship right away... it's now 3 weeks and I don't know what to think now.

Is this typical practices?

Wondering if it's ever gonna come

This must have been for a 2008, right?  This was a really popular bike and I am surprised that Cervelo still had any in stock, but if they say they did, then ... they did.

I think three weeks is a little long.  What has your LBS to say?  Its up them to contact Cervelo on your behalf and expedite the process or at least get some info.  Maybe you'll get a 2009 P2 instead ...  That'd be nice

My LBS says they called Cervelo LAST monday and were told the bike had shipped.

It only has to go from Toronto to Rochester, ny...

It's been a week and half since they supposedly shipped it.

EXACLTY the same for me...  I odered a 61cm about 3 weeks ago and they said they had several in stock and I would have it in 10 days.  I went in a week later (last monday) to check on it, and they said it just shipped that day so it needed to get here and be built.  I expected a call over the weekend - no joy.  Now it's Thursday and almost 3 weeks have passed.

I was planning to call today and see what's up.  Probably easier to do that than whine on BT...

Man, these things are going fast

My LBS has been selling bikes from future shipments and as I recall, there have been a few delays. (Mostly due to the fork recall I suspect)

Seems like mine was just about 3 weeks from Order to Delivery. (The LBS assembled it that day and I did my fitting and picked it up)

Definitely one hot bike, congratulations

Yea, I've called my LBS probably 10 times and they keep telling me "should be monday.... should be later in the week... etc"

I just don't get how a business can say "it's in stock and will ship right away" and then give you the run around for a month.

Oh well, will just keep waiting...

When I got my Kuota I got the same run around.Yes we have it. We'll ship it today. Doesn't come, then they get boxes from Kuota of bikes they didn't order, then finally they ship it 3 weeks later and it arrives. I'm not sure if it is typical in bike market.

Once you decide yep you are going to buy it...you want it.

Later that year the LBS dropped carrying them as they did it frequently.

My bike I got last week was to be shipped in 4 weeks it took more like 6 but it was custom...still...it is annoying.

It will be sweet once you get it.

I ordered my P2C 54" just a few weeks ago (August 27th).

It was delivered on September the 8th (LBS suspected the 5th).

It was built on the 8th and 9th.

I picked it up on the 9th.

I rode it for the first time on the 10th!!

WOW!!  I am in love!!  I can't believe how fast it is!!

Good luck, it is worth the wait.

1 additional comment.

I was given the impression that the P2C fork was recalled before I ordered mine by several conversations on here and that is NOT the case for the Ultegra version.  It is only the Carbon steer tube version (P2C DA and P3C) that this affects.

I meant exactly what I said, August 27th!

Maybe it was the LBS? Maybe the size?

Just be thankful, I paid for a Specialized Transition in June of 2007 and it showed up in April of 2008.
