Well, that is what I would love to have for a snack when I get home at 4:30. BUT, as I am in training, I will have to make do with a slice of salamie, a slice of ham, a slice of turkey and a slice of St Albert's cheddar cheese....and no anchovies...drat!

Sorry guys...I just went into a pizza frenzy but I did get over it. I had my ususal can of tuna for lunch with a good wholesome bottle of water to wash it down with...yum! I will save my hunger for Friday night at the restaurant and maybe some Ethiopean gastronomical delight on Sunday evening.

actually you can eat pizza ,but only if you make it yourself (evertthing) ,that way you can control the ingredients ,and it turns out much less fatty and tasty. the only problem is that it takes to much time.
i wonder if there are people who put tofu on their pizza?

How about an In-n-Out Burger (animal style, of course) and a side of Animal fries? :-O Wait, that's what got me into this predicament. Nevermind.

You can have your pizza and eat it too!
If you have trader joe's around you they have pizza dough and sauce they sell in their refrigerated section...get a bag of their mozzarella....

portion control that bad boy...add good stuff...and you can have a (relatively) healthy meal! I go for the whole wheat dough vs. white.

Or at least sent to his room!!!!!

Just kidding, Aidan. I have a 19-year-old son who eats just an unholy amount of food and stays skinny. Of course, he plays hockey, does serious martial arts, walks or rides his bike to class......

We do have pizza from time to time. I make whole wheat crusts and freeze them. I do the same thing with my home-made pizza sauce -make oodles of it all at once and then freeze it in Zip-locs. Add low-fat cheese and veggies, and there's dinner in about 20 minutes. It's not low-calorie, exactly.... but it's less bad than store bought pizza. And when those pizza cravings come over a gal, sometimes surrender is the only option.

I make a fresh pizza, no sauce, fresh tomatoes, basil, garlic, parmasean (sic) cheese and a little olive oil. You can buy the dough in the refrig section or I make it myself.

Preheat your gas grill to 500 degrees

Stretch the dough out. brush olive oil on the grates of the grill and lay the dough on it.
Let it bubble up then turn it when its brown on the bottom, add the toppings or design your own, close the cover and let it brown on the bottom again. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!

wow...I do the same thing.  Never knew anyone else who did it too    Pizza on the grill is one of our favorite post-race meals, especially for the upcoming August party.

my substitute is a large oblong wholegrain roll, cut down the centre, spread with tomato puree & herbs (or a healthy bolognese sauce etc) and topped with whatever healthy veg & fish, chicken etc I can find. A little mozz or low fat cheese, 5 mins under the grill and you're off. Not quite the real deal but close enough and DAMN tasty!

Now I'm hungry again
