Irritated my wife. Left my coffee on the counter at home!
Event warmup:

Continued to irritate my wife. Whined about no coffee. Swam 200 yards easy and refused to leave the warm pool on a cold morning.

What would you do differently?:

I would be more willing to "tap back". A young fella tapped me early. (Second lap) but then petered out. This is a endurance race, not a sprint!

Im not sure about my skill in riding on shoes, and then getting in. I'm pretty good at riding on top, but not so good at getting into the shoes quicly and cleanly.

Push harder. Get a good song in my head. Have a back up source of nutirition

Feet were numb and puffy. The combination of wet feet from the swim, and the wind chill from the bike took its toll on a guy who doesnt really get phased by temperature extremes. Also, took 30 secs to chug 1/2 bottle of gatorade, since my only nutrition was a peanut butter bagel at 4:05.

Have back up nutrition
