Hi Courtney,

We'll be looking for testers for it. If you're interested we'll let you know when we're ready.

Yeah, we moved the Garmin stuff in front of this and then decided to not come out with v1.0 but to skip right to V2.0 with plan details...hence delayed some.  But it will be much worth the wait.

I'm waiting with bated breath anyday to start testing it myself, then we will bring on some more people.

Mike has been having a lot of fun with programming this, it's been bringing a few tears to his eyes now that the initial development phase is about over.

Yes.  You specify the # of days you want to run, the days you want to run, your current running level and the length of your plan and it will split out a detailed plan with workouts.  Or you will be able to follow some general templates.

The volume is based off of the 10% rule with some additional caveats for 1/2 and full IM sport distances (marathon).  Workouts will be zone based from your LT and will change accordingly to the length of plan (does it have a 'build' period or 'build' plus 'base) and the workouts will be volume dependant (ie, different types of workouts for different lengths of the race you are training for.

I work rotating shifts on a 9 day schedule... will I be able to set it up in 9 day cycles (rather than the typical 7 day week)? That would be awesome.

Hey Ron and Mike,  If you need some testers I would love to help.  Have 3 half marathons in the next 4 months so am looking for something run focused but still with some bike and run workouts in for fitness.

We won't be able to do something like this.  9 day cycles instead of the 7 would be a complete new rewrite of what it is now...as it is a completely different 'type' of training plan.

Though one thing this WILL be able to offer is 3 on 1 off (4 week cycles) OR 2 on 1 off (3 day cycles)

This sounds like a very cool tool/feature; is it available or in beta yet? I'd love to try it out or even help with development if necessary.

Thanks!

Still working on it, but it's coming along nicely. Today's bit is debugging bike workout details.

Here is 4 weeks that you can do leading up to your race on April 5th for a 440y/m swim, 10mile bike and 3mile run.  Since this isn't a standard distance we offered, I plugged it into our custom training plan creator we are developing.

We usually don't advocate a 4 week plan if you are starting from scratch as you don't really have enough base building and you would be starting near the end of a plan, but since it is on the short side of a sprint, it should be ok. Though for the run, I'm not sure of your background so if you don't currently run these distances, you are going to need to scale back (which I can redo the plan) if you can't run the times right now - just give me what you currently can comfortably run...or just substitute the couch to 5k plan where you can comfortably start - even if you have to walk during the race, you will only get hurt if you try to quickly up running volume.
