Subject: RE: Pain After I Runif indeed we are talking about the same muscle, then i had the same hot spot for what i had assumed to be the same reasons. i met with a PT a few times who gave me some excercises to and stretches for that muscle. it seemed to do the trick. you can try them if you want.
stretch:
for right side - sit on a chair with left foot flat on ground. put right foot on left knee with right knee laying outwards (kinda like an almost leg cross ). push down gently with your hands on right knee. increase pressure gradually.
exercise:
for right side - lay on your left side in a straight line. draw right foot up towards left knee, keep it just below. slowly raise and lower right knee while keeping your right foot on your left leg below left knee. do this, say 30 times and you should feel some soreness in your medial glute.
of course, ymmv and i am not a doc. if it works great, but like scout said, you may want to talk to a real doc. |
