Subject: Transportation to IM FLorida?

It looks like I can save significant bucks by flying into either Ft Walton ~50 miles away, or Pensacola ~ 90 miles away. 

Does anyone have any experience with this.  Is there an airport shuttle that runs to Panama City Beach?  I've contacted taxi type companies and it looks like the one way cost is about $100.  It's still cheaper than flying to Panama City

Anyone have any experience?

Is anyone flying in on Tuesday and out on Monday and want to share transportation cost?

My wife and I did this last year and just rented a car. Even with the car expense it was cheaper than flying into PCB. It really wasn't too bad of a drive either.

I live in Panama City and always fly out of Fort Walton, Pensacola, or Tallahassee because it's cheaper for me. I would recommend renting a car so you can get around the area, but if you'd rather not drive, the taxi option would work as well. I remember the Fort Walton/VPS website having some contact info for various cabs and shuttles, though I've never used any of them.

We are flying into Tallahassee and renting a car which is what I did last time.

Renting a car will be cheaper than paying a cab both ways at $100 each way.

We are going back early Monday and maybe able to give you a ride.
