The phrase "And now for something completely different", pertaining to the Mars thread, got me side-tracked.

So, if you are a Monty Python's Flying Circus fan, which sketch is your favorite?  Yes, if you can't isolate one, then you can include more than one answer.  Yes, you may include a scene/sketch from any of their movies, too.

I'll start.  I have the whole 16 DVD collection set (doesn't include the movies) and can't isolate ONE episode/sketch either, but the two (no, wait, three) that stand out for me are The Upper-Class Twit of the Year, How To Defend Yourself, and The Dead Parrot.

GO!

I'll play.

I love those 3, but I think the 3 that really stand out for me:

Confuse a cat
The Spanish Inquisition
The worlds funniest joke

Anyone who says a sketch other than "Dead Parrot" obviously hasn't seen the Dead Parrot.

Worlds deadliest joke is one of my favs and just thought of the philospher's soccer game where they are all walking around contemplating what to do and then dude has his Eureka moment and they start passing around and score a goal.  Mad skills of deduction and on the field!

Oh man, where to begin:

Hide and Seek World Championships?
Ministry of Silly Walks?

I guess I'll go with the one where John Cleese has to keep repeating the absurdly long name of the famous composer..

Monty Python...aahhh, great memories of laughing until I couldn't see through the tears.

Spanish Inquisition, Dead Parrot, Silly Walk (used to do that from time to time at work...only a few got it.......the best.

Not a skit...but the entire Holy Grail movie....never gets old.

And now for something completely different, I'll go with Dead Parrot as well.

This thread makes me happy because I think I may finally have found a few BT'ers who understand why there is no number 6 on the itemized lists in my blog .
