I believe I'll be running the Chicago Marathon this year with one Ms Whizzzzzz.

Have a great weekend everyone!

8 km Road Race

Was going to do the Half-Marathon offered before I got sick, but X-country training has me prepped for this distance

End of Season Duathlon at Island Beach State Park, NJ.

Not a Tri, but first multi-sport for me!  I'll be happy just to finish, my running is pretty slow.  I'm planning on concentrating on running this winter.

American Zofingen Short Course Duathlon (5/29/5). Really looking forward to it. The leaves are turning, the scenery is beautiful, and the hills make even the short course pretty challenging.

Good luck and have fun to everyone, especially the first timers.

Kettle Moraine School District 10k. Lots of rolling hills, plus I get to show the other parents who is boss (probably not me.)

Good luck this weekend!  I'll be there.  We couldn't ask for better race conditions:

Partly cloudy, 52-69 degrees

Baltimore Half Marathon on Saturday, my first half-mary.

Goal is 2:00:00, stretch goal 1:45:00, not sure how bad the hills will be.

I'm finishing my long competitive season (one race per month from March to October) with the Day at the Beach Tri this Sunday in Hermosa Beach, CA. I'm hoping to lower my PRs in the swim (1/4 mile ocean swim) and on the bike (10 miles, flat) this year (4th year of doing this race), and then just survive the run (3 miles, flat, on concrete... oh, yeah, and some stairs). A recent hamstring strain has killed my run training for the past 2 weeks, and is still a factor. If this weren't my last race I'd consider skipping it. But if I do wreck myself, I'll have all the time I need to recover for next March's season opener. Damn the torpedoes...
