Swim
Comments: Had to go to sweet spot 3 times in order to regrain composure. Started off way too fast. Could not maintain balance well with legs sinking. Had tunnel vision when getting into pool. Hamstrings cramped up, could have been from not taking in enough electrolytes or it could have been the pool temp after running and picking. What would you do differently?: Start off slower, focus on form better. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Planned to consume 30 oz of HEED actually did about 25oz. Consumed 2 HG shots. What would you do differently?: Drink more fluid. Transition 2
Comments: Transition from Run to bike went real well, Found bike easily. Mounted Bike from rear and was easy to remove. What would you do differently?: Forgot to take HG before entering swim. Run
Comments: Hip was sore for a little over the first half. Post race have shin splints, probably from not focusing on running on toes to mid food, and reverted back to running on heals. What would you do differently?: Don't run on heels Post race
Warm down: Ate the doughnut and got the stomach ache and headache. What limited your ability to perform faster: Left hip discomfort, shin pains when trying to push a littl eharder. Event comments: Was hoping to just make sure I could make the pool cut off at 2:00. Would have been really happy to complete the race in 1:50. Beat that by 2:19. Planned to do the run portion at 30 minutes. Went too fast and finished in 26:34. I planned to do the swim portion in about 2:20 per 100 meters, actually came in slower than that at 2:55. Used port-o-let 3 times, last 5 minutes prior to race. Did not have to use again until getting home.
Jogged a little and biked a little. Focused on finding bike from the run entry.
