Pre-race routine:

6:30 Woke up and ate 2 waffles and 2 endurolytes

Event warmup:

Race Start 9:30
  • 28m 51s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 09m 19s  min/mile

Walkers were everywhere. Hard to maintain pace for the first mile with doging walkers. Went out a litle too hard too fast.
Finished #260 in mens division.
What would you do differently?:

Slower first mile and get to the front of the start.
Dring more fluids the previous days before the race. I didn't really prepare for this as a race. Should have had more fluid the hours before the race also.
Post race
Warm down:

One serving Hammer Gel.
One serving Red Beans and Rice.
Walked around a good bit with Joann
