Subject: RE: Moving run to treadmillI am really interested in these responses. As a novice runner, I was hoping to use the treadmill as a winter-weather tool. I read a suggestion that treadmill running can help educate a new runner about the feel of different paces for tempo runs. Until now, I have just been running for base fitness. I am hoping to use a run-focused training program to keep in shape in the off-season, and thought a treadmill might be the way to go. I am never quite sure how I'm running until I calculate using distance and time after I'm done. Any suggestions for how to apply this to road running if I ditch the mill? |
