Bike Barn in Groton?

Been out of buisness for about 4 years now. The owner always was an a-hole. My friend renter the apartment above the shop and got phone calls about moving his car out of the parking area. He lived there! Duh!

He owns a sister derelict shop in Niantic called Life cycles on Hope St. Steve Morrisey tried buying both businesses (then later, he opened Niantic Bay Bicycles) and the owner screwed around with the terms of the deal. I know that the owner was dying from complications of diabetes, but he still was an a-hole when it came to business dealings. The shop last I saw it was full fo Jamis and Raliegh bikes and likely still is.

I was riding one morning through Bulff Pt. and broke a chain which fell into a mud abyss. I walked the bike to Bike Barn, called them andf they fixed it. I showed up later that day and they slapped a sticker on my bike. I said, "What's that on there for?" They said they are supposed to put one on every bike they repair as well as sell. Thanks...

That's good to know.  I too had wondered about that place.  I had tried to stop by when I was looking for my bike.  Every now and then when I drive by, I look to see what is going on up there.  I guess I don't need to look anymore.  Thanks for the info!
