Comments: Perfect weather. Ran well. Calf tighted around mile 1.5. Really started to hurt around mile 9.69. REALLY wanted sub 2 so gutted it out. Previous PR was 2:01 So am happy. Think I could go sub 1:50 if I was in perfect health. Run tips from Julie Swail really helped. What would you do differently?: Not much. It was a good run, and I can't control when things are gonna hurt in a race, so just deal with it. Post race
Warm down: Hobble over to the beer garden. Drink 1/4 of a Michelob Select. Dispose of the rest and hobble back to the car and wait for g/f and her sister to finish walking the course. Drink a bottle of water, eat banana and margarita cliff shots. What limited your ability to perform faster: Grade one strain in right calf. Last updated: 2008-10-11 12:00 AM
