Comments: My first mile split was 7:45 and I thought "whoa, I am going way too fast!" I settled down though and got into a nice "cruising speed". I told myself that I would not look at my HR for the entire run and just race by feel. I didn't look at it and though I felt like I was going too fast and wanted to negative split, I decided to just hold the pace. I didn't quite negative split but my 10K time was a PR! What would you do differently?: Nothing. I was running at 100% of my LT according to my self tests and was sufficiently tired and hurting by the finish. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, drank a Gatorade, ate some food. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training. Event comments: Nice race. Would do it again. Last updated: 2008-09-02 12:00 AM

Got up at 4:45, ate bowl of oatmeal and banana. Got a cup of coffee and drove to race sight.
