Hey BT'ers!

Well, it seems like only days ago that Heather and I were trying to hook up with some BT'ers at a meet and greet in Oceanside at the 70.3 .

That's where we started this venture to race 16 IM70.3 events in 11 countries, on 4 continents in less than 8 months.....

With only a few weeks till #16, we wanted to reach out to other BT'ers to say that if there are any of you that were able to see us at a race ot chat with us during the race, please drop us a line.....that would be a blast.

Also, if any of you need information of some of the 70.3's we did, drop us a note here or at our website and we would love to give ya the low-down!

70.3's:

California
St. Croix
CLorida
Austria
Switz
UK
Lake Stevens
Vineman
Newfoundland
Antwerp
Germany
Singapore
Brazil
Cancun
Longhorn (Austin)

Cheers.......

Brian

Wow that is an awesome feat. Not to mention expensive. Best of luck in the last race of the list. I have thought of different things to do like maybe trying to do all those races but I was thinking more along the lines of spreading it out over about 10 years.

Which 70.3 did you feel was the best? If I could only choose one, which one would you recommend?

Good question and a huge question!!

How about this....

If you want a FAST time....Brazil and Singapore
If you want huge "TdF" style support: Swizerland
If you want to realllly earn your bling: Germany
If you want a nice vacation built into a 70.3: Cancun

So many of them had ups and downs.....price, local, geography.

Yes, this was a costly venture....but I failed to mention for those that do not know us, we were raising awareness for 2 causes close to us: Acquired Brain Injuries and Testicular Cancer.
90% of this venture was self funded, and no, we are not dotcom millionairs.
We worked between most of the races.....it was not an 8 month road trip....it was back and for forth to Canada!

Would I do it again?

Did Crowie just kick but in Kona?

Thanks!

We each did the races. When it was a mass start, we would do the swims together as Heather's LEAST fave part was the swim. After that it was game on!

We did do a couple of races side by side the whole way....no better way to do this!! It was awesome.

Anyone going to Clearwater???

I was at Longhorn, and heard the announcer talk about you and your cause. I was very inspired by your journey. Good luck and keep rocking!

  • ..always ONE nay-sayer!!!! KIDDING!!!

  • Ok...here is your US shout-out. Longhorn....one of the BEST run races going. Great swag, great venue, great city. The course is scenic on the bike yet challenging on the dirt run!!

Since St. Croix is in the USVI, you get two shout-outs!!! a TRUE early season test of your winter trainnig!!!!!
