saling4 - 2009-12-22 7:24 PM I would like to try Insanity...Now that sounds like fun as well.

From what I've seen (borrowed a workout dvd), Insanity is nothing like P90x.  It's a LOT of core/cardio work with almost no break time at all.  I find P90X fun, Insanity isn't fun.

Im almost finished with my first P90x round, I will probably  do a round of Insanity, then do some P90x+. I look at it as fun because of the challenge and the payoff it provides, good stuff!

Brian, have you seen the Brazil butt lift Dvd's, what is that about?

I will be starting on Sunday - looking forward to doing something different for a while after nearly five years of S/B/R.

I intend to do the streching workout sunday and then start on Monday. Hoping that this will be a good cross training for my marathon training. (and losing 20 lbs would be nice too).

Hi! I think I am going to join you guys! We ordered the P90X last week and should get it sometime early this week.  I am thinking I will be doing the lean version after reading half of this thread as I want to keep running between 25-30 miles per week and swim once a week until we get closer to tri season.  Can't wait to get started!!

How many grams of carbs have you been eating per day? Are you sticking to the 50% protein, 30% carbs, 20% regimen?

Yes, kind of - check out my logs I have been logging EVERYTHING.

I have never eaten this much meat, eggs, and dairy in my life! I am normally a vegan/vegetarian cause I am really lazy and it is very easy for me to eat that way. Actually having to cook eggs, turkey bacon, chicken breasts ALL the time is killn me. Just give me a salad!

Alright, I guess I better chime in. I just started another round on Sunday the 7th. I have finished one round so far, but got sidetracked with a back injury (got hit on my bike), so after about a 6 month lay off--here we go again. WOOOT----and umm, yes, four days into it and my body is just as sore as it was the first time around. Sigh.

I just started (today is Day #3).  So far, so good.  I really liked PlyoX - hard, but fun.  All this weighing/measuring food will take some getting used to, but like I said - so far, so good.

My husband asked for the program last Christmas. He wasn't active at all before. He struggled a bit, but ended up with great results after the first round. Knowing how hard the program is, I did it with him for the first month, until he got into the groove. Between that, teaching 7 aerobics classes and training for triathlon, I was exhausted for the whole month. How ever, I lost 25 lbs in the first month, and had some serious PR's that season. I've gotten into a fitness slump since starting back to school last fall, so I'm thinking of doing a few of the DVD's again. It's a great program, the diet that goes with it is good, I'm not too fond of the fat shredder portion, I found that I didn't have much brain power while doing that. But level two worked very well for me.
