Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4:45, and had some toast with Nutella & jelly. Thought it would be a good idea to park at my office 1/2 mile away and jog to the race, but there was ample parking within 2 blocks of the race.
Event warmup:

Just the jog from the car & some stretching, but I cooled down before the gun

Comments:

First of all, this was a PR by 12 minutes, which I feel awesome about. Only problem is I really need to learn to pace myself better. I was trying to negative split, and started off faster than I should have, but I felt so good - legs felt great, no labored breathing. I kept having to slow down, because I new it was too fast. As you can tell from the splits, I did not slow down enough.

Splits (might be a bit low - GPS showed 13.32 miles @ 8:47 avg pace:
Mile 1 - 8:26
Mile 2 - 8:27
Mile 3 - 8:36
Mile 4 - 8:46
Mile 5 - 8:30
Mile 6 - 8:47
Mile 7 - 9:23 - Porta Potty stop
Mile 8 - 8:52
Mile 9 - 9:01
Mile 10 - 9:20
Mile 11 - 8:40
Mile 12 - 9:02
Mile 13 - 8:28

What would you do differently?:

Just learn to pace better, but I really don't think at this phase in my running I could have done more than a couple minutes faster.
Post race
Warm down:

Stretched, and walked around a bit. Went back and watched the marathon winner finish, had a beer, then went home.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Poor pacing - this will probably inprove with more racing. Thanks to a lot of hard work and good coaching (thanks Mark), I knoched 12 minutes off my last half mary 5 months ago.

Event comments:

Drink stations were a bit farther apart than I would like and not at regular intervals(only 3 in the first 6 miles). It was cool today, so it wasn't bad, but it could have been a problem for me if it was hotter.
