Comments:

Well, I ran well through 21 miles. At the half way mark I was 3 minutes ahead of my target pace which was a big mistake. I should have slowed down right then however I just kept going at the same pace which I payed for during the last 4.5 miles of the race. Lesson learned! All in all I can't be too disappointed as this was my first marathon. I was hoping to qualify for Boston but it wasn't meant to be this year!
What would you do differently?:

Take in more fluids and watch my pace much more closely.
Post race
Warm down:

Not much as I couldn't hardly walk.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Experience in pacing a longer race. I have the half marathon down and this was my first marathon and it was a rough one!

Event comments:

Very nice and well run event. It may be getting a little big for the available venue though.

Well, I didn't quite hit my goal of 3:15...well I actually missed it by quite a bit but all in all I'd say I was pretty happy with my first marathon. I'm not sure if I'll run another one as this was by far the most pain I've put my body through. I'll have to think about this one before I sign up for another marathon!

That's an awesome performance.  Even if you didn't get the BQ, you placed in top quartile of a tough AG, and on your first attempt!

Congrats!

Great race, especially for your first marathon. That last climb up mile 25 killed me. I agree that the crowd was on the large size for the venue. Get some rest and you can be back training for your next one. 3:15 is definitely in your reach.
