Total Time = 1h 47m 31s
Overall Rank = 63/83
Age Group = Female 30-39
Age Group Rank = 13/16
Pre-race routine:

Woke up freezing and got everyone dressed and out the door. Had an egg and cheese sandwich. The car thermometer said 29 degrees as we pulled out of the driveway.
Event warmup:

Walked around, jumped around a little to keep warm. Stretched only a little. It was too cold to do anything!
Run
  • 19m 14s
  • 2.2 miles
  • 08m 44s  min/mile
Comments:

Just tried to pace myself. I think I went out a little two quick though, and the UPHILL was a bit startling. I must have gone out way too fast because I was actually sweating (it was still COLD) and this is a much faster pace than I've ever gone before.

What would you do differently?:

Not break my running belt right before the race so it's easier to change clothes and not lose my number.
Bike
  • 1h 07m 3s
  • 16 miles
  • 14.32 mile/hr
Comments:

Gears were NOT working right. Couldn't get out of the larger gear at all, shich made the uphills downright painful. Even shifting within didn't always work smoothly.

Run
  • 21m 14s
  • 2.2 miles
  • 09m 39s  min/mile
Comments:

Hamstrings started hurting as I got off the bike. Started burning on the way up the hill. Had to walk/jog the hill but managed to run the rest. Can't belive I still broke the 10 mile/hour pace!
Post race
Warm down:

Stretched and got in the car to search for a HOT cup of coffee to warm me up.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Problems shifting gears on my bike.
Bike is TOO small and my back was killing me!
Wheezing and ears aching on 2nd run - can't help beng "sick" though...
