trixie - 2008-10-23 9:36 PM explain please.

It's a little 27 mile MTB ride from Kalkaska to Traverse City.  You'll have to wait til next year as it's sold out.  Register early for next year, as I seem to recall it sells out pretty quick.

This year the lottery system to get in really ticked a ton of people off. Iceman and Ore to Shore are the best MTB races in the state, Peak to Peak is really fun too. If you have a MTB it's a must do.

Barring unforeseen events I should be there. Sport male age 31.

I'll be there once again as your start line race announcer. Although it can change on a dime it looks like we'll have good weather conditions this year.... fingers crossed.

There are plenty of races to do in Michigan, and we have a promoter that does 12 and 24 hour races to help you warm up for moab.

Trixie, another warmup race to check out is the Lumberjack 100. www.lumberjack100.com

It's a 25 mile loop four times over through the Manistee National Forest. A good mix of hills and flats on packed singletrack with some areas of sand. Some friends have said this is a pretty punishing race.

I wanted to do the Iceman - after I found a buddy from work to join me I went to register and found it to be full...  Maybe next year.
