Swim
Comments: Took off and felt ok. Came up close to the swimmer in front of me by 50m. When i timed to pass her, she was passing a slower swimmer that was passing a slower swimmer. Ended up doing the breast stroke with head out of water trying to find a way to pass for 35 meters. Bullied through at the wall and passed the fastest one after the turn. Pretty disappointing swim for me, was ready to go much faster. What would you do differently?: Noticed I have a hard time timing the turns in deep water lanes. I train in 4'6" depth and these were 12' deep. Probably need to start doing warm ups, if nothing else, to get on pace. Transition 1
Comments: Ran out to the bike and felt better. Got to the right bike this time, went to put on shirt and have never had it hang up like it did this time. Was way to relaxed and slow paced at everything. Probably took 30-45 just on the shirt. What would you do differently?: Find something I am ok swimming in that I can wear the whole race. Bike
Comments: Took off on the bike and seemed to be taking forever, probably because I was moving so slow. As always, tried to stay out of the way of the fast people as I admired their bikes. When the 11 yo kid passed me up, something finally clicked and went pretty good for the last 4 miles. What would you do differently?: Wild shot....umh, get out on the road and actually train for the bike. Realization during the race that I am biking the race course instead of racing the bike course. Transition 2
Comments: Came up to the dismount line, even nodded to the guy acknowledging that I knew what to do and where to stop. The look on his face of the fear that I wasnt dismounting, obviously I am not going that fast. Anyway, quick stop and off, no flying dismount yet. Felt good, racked the bike, and was ready to run...stood there thinking, what did I miss doing, this was quick. What would you do differently?: Learn flying dismount Run
Comments: Legs felt a lot better than last week, no calf cramps. Ran the first 2 miles comfortable and pushed the pace the last mile. Again, had way too much left at the end. What would you do differently?: Train for the run more and dont hold back. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, cheered on some people finishing and just relaxed. Last updated: 2008-10-21 12:00 AM

Slept at parents house to be 10 minutes from race. Didnt get there until 11pm so that didnt help other than the nice short drive early in the morning.
No warm up. Walked around, met Ken and Aaron.
