Great job... I am close last couple of months, but always just miss that mark. Woudl love to average 20 a week in off season though and I would be content with that. Good job on hittign your goal!

I am going to hit 80 miles this month (marathon training). And I keep thinking while I am running that I miss the bike training, it was so much less pounding on my body.

Congrats!

Funny you mention it, before I read this post I just figured out I need 10.22 miles in three days to match 100 miles for the month.  First time since summer of last year when I was marathon training.  Damn you triathlon training!!

Nicely done! You may find the more you run, the more you like running. I did. I'm about 15 miles from having 300 for the month and I will get it done. It will be my third month this year of 300+ miles. It's funny because a few years ago I hated to run, now I can't seem to get enough of it.

Nice Job!

Looks like I'll hit 150 for the month, not sure I've ever done that before...

I am just happy to be able to run again. I have been dealing with a nagging knee injury. I will only end up with 20-25 miles for this month. I've been just doing 3 mile runs. The swim has been my focus lately since I joined a masters team

Awesome work

100 Miles on 20 days of running is an average of ~5 miles per day and you still have some days left to run.

From your logs, it would seem that your hard work is really paying off on long run day

Good for you! Your post made me go back and check my logs for the year, where I found my best month at 95. Now I have a new goal.

Very nice. I did 16 last week and will do 20 this week. Goal is to keep doing 20/week for a while. I would love to get in 100/month one day. That is awesome!

Congrats!

After being a lazy bum for 2 1/2 months after IMCDA I started marathong training this month. Will turn in 120 or so this month. Prepping for a february marathon.

As someone else said, the more you run the more likely you are to enjoy it. Running is my sole source of sanity these days.

Great job folks.

Not to toot WaterDog's horn since he's so mild-mannered about his hardcore training, but for a good few months last year, he was averaging 100-110 miles per WEEK of running. Yowzas.

Great job, but you really need all of those miles.  Seems like over doing it to me....

Your post had me look over my logs(mine are handwritten and hanging on my bathroom wall) and here I am at a steady 136 miles per month.

Good god, how did this happen??? Last March when I first started running I never imagined this!

Don't "need" to run at all - unless improvement is wanted.

I am trying to run focus through the end of the year while the weather is decent outside.  I can't bear to do 10+ milers on the treadmill and once the snow starts falling it will get harder to plan long runs, which must be done early AM on sat or sunday due to fatherly responsibilities starting around 8 AM (and I am not one of those people who will be running in ice storms at night).  If I build a good base now I should be able to maintain it until spring when I can get back outside for more long runs.  When the weather gets crappier, the long runs will turn into trainer rides or swims.  Basically my attempt at focused periodization within my unfocused training world.

What is this 'running' thing of which you speak?

Seriously, congratulations to all of you.  It gives me inspiration as I start my program to do the Sarasota Half Marathon in February.

Thanks,

Mark
