I recently purchased a Felt S25 and I'm having a hard time making a decision between a Front mounted hydration system (Profile Aerodrink or Jetstream) or a rear mounted system (saddle mounts). I've heard from some people that the rear mounted systems cause more wind resistance and you somtimes kick them off when getting on the bike. I also think the front mounted systems could be annoying. My Felt has only one bottle cage possible on the frame and I plan on doing a 1/2 ironman this summer and definitely need more than one bottle. If anyone could provide any insight, it would be appreciated. Thanks,

Derek

I just put a dual bottle rear mounted system on my bike and found it to be a pain to get on and off the bike, as well as grab a bottle from the aero position. Thinking of getting a camelback system for the long rides, but not sure what to do for races.

I have a xwing, and will keep it for long (1/2 and up) races and long training rides. I will not use it anymore for olympic and shorter as it does make the quicky mount/dismount a pain in the ...uh...leg, as it sits up so high. I am thinking of going to a lower rack off of the back of the saddle.
I also use a profile front mount bottle and don't notice any handiling issues. Other than when carrying my bike down the stairs.....

Sorry, I got some aerobars coming and I'm curious to what you folks are using.

Thanks for the info, I think I may go with the front mounted system.
