We got anyone out there doing the race this weekend up in Conroe?

Looks like it will be a bit cold on the first part of the bike, but should be good after that! Plus it will be the first time the bike leg is the true 56 miles, instead of 59 and 54.

I'll be in the ditch at about mile 10 of the run passed out, throw me some water.

It's a good race. I did it 2 years ago, wifey did it last year (1st place Athena). I know Bigjim5 will be racing this year but not sure who else.

Good luck

This will be the first time I will not be doing this. I have always had trouble with the cold water and this year is two weeks later than normal. Have fun

I'm doing this race too and I was wondering when someone was going to mention it on here!  I did the practice swim in Lake Conroe and it was not too cold at all.  Of course my last race was ironman coeur d'alene and after that, NOTHING is cold. I guess this means I should finally finish my race report from June before I post the next one!

Water should be fine.. The first 20 miles on the bike in a wet skin suit may be cold though.
