Hello:

Just as a courtesy I made the Turkey Trot route for everyone. Looks like a good climb at mile 4.5. I hope everyone has a great time..

Take care...

I'm getting a 404, page not found error.

If it's the same route as in the past, that's probably the bit going from Reunion Arena to the Viaduct.

please try this link..  sorry about...thanks..

I think this map is missing the loop that goes around Reunion Arena. The Turkey Trot website still shows that as being part of the course, which might make it hard to draw online, since some of the course would then go under the parking garage on the east side of the arena.

No, it's got it in there. That's the circular arc in the middle.

Anyone know if they cap registration?

It's a few days after IMAZ so I'm not sure if the turkey feather speedo will make an appearance, but I'd like to know if it's an option.

I seriously doubt they cap it, I mean they get 30k+ at these things.

I registered this morning and never saw any mention of a cap.

They do not cap the race. I was able to register race morning last year with about a hundred other people.

Agree on the no cap.  I registered yesterday (also signed up 4 friends and my dog) with no problems.  The Trot is my favorite family tradition.  This will be my 11th consecutive.

I have a drawer full of the long sleeve shirts!

I'm out. I didn't train nearly enough for the 8 miler, so I'm staying home from this one.

I double checked the website about caps, and placed some calls this morning..

The only caps allowed are baseball style caps,

Is parking really that bad? I know they are stressing taking DART, which I don't mind doing, but should I?

Nah, if you get there early there's plenty of paid parking in the area.

Does anyone know what kind of drinks they have on the course? Are there aid stations every mile?

Yea, every mile, though don't count on hitting the first aid station unless you like waiting. The 2nd aid station is less busy than the first by far. Usually it's water & gatorade at each station.

Be warned that the DART rail is on a Sunday schedule which means trains every 30 minutes instead of 5 or 10. Make sure and check the schedule if anyone is planning on taking the train. And considering how few trains will be running, I bet they'll be packed. I'll be taking the train with a friend and getting on at Parker figure I won't have too bad a problem, coming home will be super packed with everyone in the area getting on.

Angie and I parked about 1 mile away and walked down to registration at 8:30 a.m.  We paid our fees, got our bibs and shirts and headed out to the start line.  15 MINUTES after the horn to start the 8 miler, we finally crossed the timing mats.  It was a great to run with Angie!
