Overall Rank = /

Age Group Rank = 13/29
Pre-race routine:

All of us got up, ate a bit and walked down to the transition. The late start (9) gave us plenty of time to hang out and warm up, have tea/coffee and talk to friends.
Event warmup:

I did the swim, so I got my new Xterra wetsuit on and went for a swim about 200 meters or so to get loose. Very nice, clear water.
Swim
  • 13m 49s
  • 800 meters
  • 01m 44s / 100 meters
What would you do differently?:

Move up closer to the front and know that I can sustain a nice evenly-paced and faster swim.
Transition 1
  • 52m 4s
Comments:

Passed off the chip to DH and off he went!
Bike
  • 36m 32s
  • 9 miles
  • 14.78 mile/hr
Comments:

DH said he passed people the first time up the hill. Passed a few people up the second time and was huffing and puffing the 3rd time, but he did it and did a great job!
What would you do differently?:

He would have trained more, but given he had a major crash a month ago, I think he did really well.
Transition 2
  • 53m 2s
Comments:

Transferred timing chip to son and off he went!
Run
  • 25m 59s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 08m 23s  min/mile
Comments:

Son said he felt good and passed quite a few people. He grabbed water at each station and drank a bit and poured the rest on his head.
Post race
Warm down:

Hung out. Posed for pictures. Ate some grapes and drank water.

Event comments:

Beautiful island and great getaway for the family. There were some party folks at the hotel the night before, but no one kept us up at night. Fun time for our 20th anniv. and got everyone involved.
