Run
Comments: I was ready to be done with this run before it even started. It was cold and rainy and windy. Yuck. There wasn't a huge crowd so I didn't have to fight very hard to get some good running space. They had a volunteer calling out times at the first mile - 8 min. Faster than I intended to start out but I decided to just go for it. Trial by fire. Felt pretty good until about mile 5. Then things started to get painful. I knew I was at my max because even small little hills felt impossible. By mile six I was ready to lay down in the middle of the road and just wait for someone to come drag me to the finish. But I soldiered on. There was an evil uphill to the finish line. Then the time clock came into view. I saw 51 minutes up there and I got a nice adrenaline boost. Kicked to the finish. Smashed my goal time of 54! I'm beginning to think I might actually be able to turn myself into a runner. Post race

Up at 6. Ate some cereal and PB on toast. Checked the weather and saw that it was going to rain the entire time so I packed some clothes to put on after the race.
Easy jog for about 5 minutes - just long enough to get cold and wet before the race start.
