Run
Comments: Started off at a decent pace, and just tried to maintain it. The course was pretty hilly and afterwards I heard a lot of people complaining about the climb up Route 108. I guess running the hills of western NY has served me well as these hills did not bother me at all. Picked it up at the end. What would you do differently?: Pretty much nothing. Because my training had been very inconsistent, I would have been satisfied to break an 8:00 pace. So I was happy with this time. Post race
Warm down: After picking up a free t-shirt from a stack that they had left over from last year's race (unfortunately an XL which fit me like dress) headed over to the feast area. They always have a heckuva spread after the race and this year was no different. Nothing like a Heineken at 900 in the morning. Unfortunately the rain started shortly thereafter, so I didn't hang around long. What limited your ability to perform faster: Inconsistent training.... Last updated: 2008-04-17 12:00 AM

Had a cup of hot tea and a peanut butter bagel before leaving my parent's house. Luckily it's only a 4 mile drive from their house to the race site, so I got there with plenty of time to just mill about.
Pretty much nothing.
