Training is overrated.

So are hydration, nutrition, pacing, and Body Glide.

Pretty cool about the medals.  It would be nice if they retro'd it and last year counted as the first one

I just moved here from Seattle, and a friend is flying in from there to run it with me. I can't imagine the hills are anything like Seattle!

I'm planning on running the half but need a total of 20 miles that day to prep for the Little Rock marathon.  Anyone want to join me?

Also need some ideas on the best way to add the extra mileage.  Would like to run part of the course so I have mile splits.

Finish the 1/2 Mary, start running conter-flow from the finish for another 3-4 miles (cheer for the folks still on the course), turn around and join the pack on the way back to the finish.

Hey that's a great idea! Look for me when you're heading back towards the finish line the 2nd time lol

His brother is coming from Seattle to do it with him.

There are definitely hills on the course, the course includes most of our main training areas and while they aren't big hills, it is NOT a flat course.

Funny - my friend and former training partner is flying in from Seattle tomorrow to run it with me. Maybe they're on the same flight lol I told her there are no hills in Texas compared to what we run in Seattle!
