Run
Comments: Started off very, very slow, crowded start line, probably took 5-6 minutes just to get to the start line. Finished the first mile in about 9 minutes due to weaving in and out of strollers, dogs, etc. My neigbor is a much faster runner than I am so he kept me moving pretty good. About the end of mile 2 he started to pull away from me, I was running a good pace for me at that time and didn't think I could keep up with him. He finished about a minute ahead of me so not bad. Who knows what my official time will be based on how long it took to actually get to the start line. What would you do differently?: Nothing really, fastest I have ever run a race. I really need to learn how to push myself better, if he wasnt there with me I probably would have been alot slower. Even with that I still had plenty of energy left at the end of the race so could have gotten much faster time if I wanted to. Post race
Warm down: Walked to the car What limited your ability to perform faster: Need to figure out how to push myself in races, I always hold back, afraid that I am not going to have enough left to finish. Event comments: Fun Turkey Trot, nice and flat, will do it again next year. Last updated: 2008-11-18 12:00 AM
