Per the link from TriRsquared the water temp has dropped 1 degree from a few days ago, down to 77.2 (was 76.8 at 7am today).  Just been hovering between 77 and 78 all week.  Gonna be close!  Hope the nights stay cold (well, FL cold in April is low 60s) and days stay mild.

I have to work til noon but would love to do a group swim like we did last year.  We all met up at 1 and did the swim at Spa Beach and then headed out to bike check-in...would anyone wanna keep that same sked?

Unfortunately I can't watch MnM this year due to work.

OK, I haven't read the other pages, so I'm gonna ask a blind question...are we thinking of doing a dinner again?  Carrabbas again?  Anyone have anything else set up?  Usually I'm the social director but this year I'm just too busy to do it!  I'd love to meet up for dinner with anyone who's interested tho.

ok, I just ordered a swimskin as it is going to be awfully warm in that water even if it IS wetsuit legal.....but will bring both down with me.....

I am up for any and all group activities!  I am coming down thursday evening and staying until late monday night.

dinners, group swims.... count me in!!!!

I would offer to help organize but figure it is best left to locals who know what the heck they are doing

but I am happy to be the phone tree organizer....we can PM each other all the mobile numbers???

cheers

Carrabas would be lovely.  Maybe we can work harder at shutting it down.

8am: 65 Degrees, 10% chance of rain, 75% humidity, 40% cloud cover, Wind 7mph ESE

11am: 74 Degrees, 10% chance of rain, 57% humidity, 40% cloud cover, Wind 8mph SSE

Should be pretty good.  Although it warms up as it gets later, the humidity drops alot, so that is a pretty good scenario for the ladies.  I would like to see the wind at 0, but 7 is pretty typical for St. Pete.

Someone wants someone else to do that for herself...   LOL

Here's the link where you can get your self-inflicted "hit" whenever you obsessively want to check the weather.

This is going to be a nail biter.  The water temp has broken 78 the last few days but it has been later in the day.  At 6:50 AM it has been (barely) below 78.

But the worrying might all be for naught.  The RD *wants* it to be wetsuit legal (a lot less hassle and complaining) so they tend to find a cold spot to measure.  I know they did that last year as there is no way it was below 78 on the surface.

I'm hoping it's less windy than today.  It must have been blowing 20 knots at the Pier..

Coming from MA, I've been running at 11am here in FL in effort to hopefully adjust some to the heat.

The above ^^^^ would be great.

Personally I am hoping a miracle happens and it's not wetsuit legal.  But I never get my way!  Two years ago there wass NO WAY IN HECK it was REALLY cold enough to be legal...but somehow was legal.

i'm to the point now that it doesn't matter really to me.   even if it's 75 degrees, i'm leaning towards not wearing a suit anyhow.

I bought a swim skin because if it is hovering around 78 that sounds awfully hot, and I will just get dehyrdrated....plan to try both out in the water

so YES to a swim saturday - and friday for that matter - planning on short swims both days, and easy bike friday, maybe saturday too, and easy runs to check out the midday heat - ick - though I like the sound of lower humidity.....

Marma gave me BT tattoos to give out to everyone so we all HAVE to meet up!!!!
