If I do it, it won't be my first but I am considering it for next year.

I'll be there, won't be my first time though. Last year was brutal 95 degrees and huge winds on the bike (sounds like Kona.

Good luck with training.

It was brutally hot [on the run] and windy [on the bike] - but it's a great course, weather permitting. It turned-out to be the best part of my day. Hours after finishing the race - while playing miniature golf w/the family by the lake. A storm blew in off the lake & a limb from an old tree hit this triathlete in the forehead. Ambulance ride to the ER & several hours later - all in a day's work huh. I plan to do the first half of the day again this year (half IM).

I have decided to only do the sprint for this year and have signed up for Muskoka in Canada for a late summer HIM.

On another note.  Where does everyone gather after the race?  Do any of the local BTers want to hang and chat afterwords?

I was going to ride the HIM course today, but with the threat of strong winds and strong gust I chickened out and rode a more wooded area.  Either way I did drive 90% of the course yesterday and most of the roads look to be in real decent shape overall (for chipseal roads), with the occasional bad spot here and there.  The worst parts I found where the road heading out of the park (waterworks rd from the toll booth to Dixie Hwy crossing) and a 3/4 to 1 mile section of Dixie Hwy  I believe the HIM will hit both areas on the way out and back in.

I'm just doing sprint as a warm up for my year, but look forward to hanging out and rooting folks on.
