Subject: HELP.....gaining weight!!!
Hey everyone,

Much to my frustration, I've gained approx. 10lbs in 1 month. Here's the kicker - In the last month I added bike to my regular "run" workout and got back on the healthy eating plan (not that I was too far off it).

So, I'm usually running 3.5 miles, 3x week and biking (indoor trainer) up to 1 hour, 5x a week. I'm not a very ambitious eater, and really eat mostly healthy food...i.e. no fast food, junk food.

Hang in there and holdfast. Find a calculator to tell you your daily caloric needs and take another look at your consumption. Try keeping a food log for awhile to help you identify problem spots. Just remember, it takes a 500 cal/d deficit from your basal metabolic rate to lose 1 lb/wk. So even minor "cheating" can result in no loss for the week.

I agree with John. A food log is really helpful. I've been using fitday.com with success over the past couple of weeks.
