Need new tri shorts......
Need some shorts to swim in too. Recommendations for something relatively inexpensive/good values ?

Pearl Izumi's I got 2 yrs ago from Performance for $ 29 are $ 54.99 right now.

Perf has LG Comp tri shorts for $ 34.99.

There's a lot of good deals on swimoutlet.com, sportsbasement.com, and trisports.com.

If you look at closeouts, you can get *really* good deals, often 50% off or more. Generally if you stick with a good name brand, that'll do you well.

The only thing I'd steer you away from is TYR shorts. They're no good for long-distance or long-course training--the seam between the padding and shorts will rip you up (my experience and have heard several other people say this).

I really like Danskin brand.  The dry rather quick on the bike.  My stepdaughter races in Louis Garneau (though they seem to run small).

Try these guys out:  http://www.aevero.com/

Good construction.  Not too much extra padding in the fanny, but at least you don't feel like you have a diaper on after the swim.  Can't beat the price.

i haven't found on deals for tri shorts.. i wear 2xu tri shorts they are about 54.99 as well.

As for swimshorts.. go to swimoutlet.. or a swim store.. they tend to have closeout deals on jammers...

when you buy jammers get polyester they last a lot longer(i've had my polys for over a year..) than the lycra/poly blend(i've gone through 4 pair of these, trying to save money). The chlorine from the pool eats away at the fabric..

minimize the usage of your tri short in the pool because of the same reason..

Anyone tried the LG comp tri shorts ? $ 34.99 not too bad if they'll hold up.........I'll try not to swim in chlorine too much....

Also, I see a couple of things on Perf. I haven't seen before: 1)Performance has their own brand of tri short..... $ 49 right now minus 10 %... and 2) a Sugoi square leg swim short for $ 29....if anyone has tried those pls. advise.
