My response to the poll is kinda meaningless: We have very reasonable premiums through my wife's employer...but that is only a fraction of what we end up out-of-pocket every year with deductible and co-pays. What we actually pay for medical care is a lot more than what we pay for medical insurance. Every year is another roll of the dice that we won't have an unusual injury or illness that would blow our household finances to hell.
