Member 1487 Scottsdale, AZ | Subject: RE: Gym recommendations in Scottsdale? I replied to your other post, but yes, there are 2 LA fitness facilities in the area. The one on Oak/Scottsdale Road is a bit older, but the pool is fine and equipment is well maintained (haven't been there in a while though). I use the McCormick Ranch facility almost every day and like it (less than 1/2 mile from my house). the other gym in the area are 24 hour fitness - Bally's in Scottsdale closed (on Shea/Pima). |

Hours are a little limited but only $2-$3/visit to use the facility. http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/parks/eldopool Scottsdale Community College also has a fitness center. I was thinking LA fitness (but the name sort of turned me off, wasn't sure what image they were going after), did like the fact that they have spinning. Can you get a lane at the Eldorado Park Pool, either morning or evening? |

I train at a park pool in North Scottsdale.....It's usually not a problem to get a lane there...Occasionally, you have to share a lane. I'm not sure how busy Eldorado is.....Maybe call and ask them how busy they are?? Good luck! |

| Extreme Veteran 419 San Jose, CA | Subject: RE: Gym recommendations in Scottsdale? I swim at the El Dorado pool whenever I'm in town and it's amazingly empty. Gorgeous clean pool and I've NEVER had an issue at any hour getting a lane to myself. |
