Run
Comments: Not much to say, everything was good. Good pacing, fueling, hydration. No ankle or PF pain. Great run! Beat my pace goal and set a new PR! What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Walked a bit on the track. Then got some water and a muffin at the refreshment table. Stayed for the awards and was suprised by a 2nd place ribbon. :) Event comments: This was a great local event. There weren't any drink stations, but they're kind of unnecessary in a 5k. They had plenty of refreshments after and lots of drawings and awards for the top finishers. I would do this one again if I was in the area. Last updated: 2008-12-31 12:00 AM

Got up had coffee, banana with cashew butter, juice with protein powder. It was a new race day fueling routine by the paleo diet guidelines. Seemed to work out really well :) Then we drove to Hermiston and registered.
Watched the kids 1 mile race. It's so cute watching those little legs go like crazy! Then, I jogged about 1/2 mile to warm up a bit.
