Run
Comments: My first trail run. I mis-stepped many times and was a little worried I would roll an ankle, so I just relaxed and let my feet move with the contour of the ground. I got behind someone who was just fast enough to challenge me, but not so fast that I would injure myself. You could not pass in many sections of the course. What would you do differently?: Maybe wear a GPS since there were no mile markers and the trail gave me no sense of how far I had gone. I thought I was about 4 miles into the run when a guy said; "a half mile to go and your finished!" Post race
Warm down: Walked around and stretched a little. My knees were real sore. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of trail running. Event comments: No age groups! Last updated: 2008-12-26 12:00 AM

Ate breakfast at home, drove to friends, got in his van and he took us to race site. Ate a couple of his whey, soy, banana, apple muffins on the way.
Sat in van with heater running until 10 minutes before start,
