Matt,

I'll be more than happy to share a spot with Steve, I won't be riding 3 hrs either. Plus that way Steve can't fall on me.

I'll bring some home made banana nut bread and some cinnamon bread.

Karen

actually, I'd give up my spot altogether and drink mimosas and watch y'all sweat, what 'bout that?

(ok not really but I don't think I'll ride 3 either -- but my Kurt Kinetic is set for 650 wheels if someone wants to swap midway through)

Bronwyn1968 - 2009-01-06 12:07 PM I see you already have twelve.  If someone can't make it, let me know.  I would like to participate in all the "fun".

Matt might have to position me outside so I don't crash on my trainer and make the domino effect happen, since I seem to have a propensity to crash due to the crappy lock mechanism on my Kurt road trainer.

... note to self, keep Steve away from the steps....

Sounds like fun! thanks for making room! I won't be riding for three hours either! I just want to see how much harder other people work than myself (so I can feel like a total slacker!)   And meet some of you Mich BT people before race season!

I'm starting to wonder what the maximum carrying capacity of my house is, when the largest room is full of bikes.  I'm getting a little worried.

Don't you have a ferret cage for one of your guests?

YEAH!!!! I hate to miss a good sweatfest. I wouldn't, in my wildest dreams, want to ride for 3 hours, so maybe I can split with Kimm or someone. Or I will just sit and drink mimosa's, which is just fine. In fact I think I might work drinking heavily into my training plan.

Jo, you know I couldn't say no to you.

Folks, anyone is welcome, just understand it'll be crowded.  I'm pretty surprised that I've received such a response.

Man, I can't keep up, did someone mention crack and ferrets?

Matt, your wife isn't reading this thread is she? The trainerfest might be banned if she finds out just how raucous this group might become -- tee hee hee

Wowzers.  Those spots filled fast - such a great MI community.   COOL!

I need to get off my rear one of these weekends and come out for one of these occasions!

She has asked only that she need not be present.  I think she wants to stay far, far away.    She's smart.

If only we had more techie people here we could set up a VPN and do a webinar (that all did kind of sound like I know what I'm talking about...)  so anyone could attend.  I'm out for the traveling aspect - oh, and the new baby due on the 22nd.

But I'll be on my trainer at home for an hour and a half... say from 0900-1030.

Awww...I won't be able to join in (like there would be room!) on the 31st.  My kid has her big concert that night and a late rehersal the night before.  I think I will ride along at home like my team mate Jeremy!  I actually just had my longest ride of 1.5 hours last week on the drainer, but I think maybe my pace may be a littttttttle bit more relaxed than you all in the sweatfest!  Kiss  Have a groovy time everyone and hopefully I'll be able to join in the next one.

I'll be on the road that weekend, but I'll lift my margarita (virgin, of course) in San Antonio and think of y'all!  I'd love to say I'd join next time but the belly's starting to pooch and I'm not sure that will lend well to the current bike set up.  Or really... any bike set up short of a recumbent.

Can you put a recumbent bike on a trainer?  !
