Run
Comments: My hamstrings tightened up somewhere around mile 17, lost my 4:30 pace group in the crowd at mile 12 and faded. What would you do differently?: I would run with the 5:00 pace group, 4:30 was too aggressive for my fitness level. I would also do more long runs during training. Post race
Warm down: Walked around and then laid down for a bit. Drove home and napped. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough long miles in training. Event comments: Great first Marathon, kept it entertaining and fun. I would recommend to anyone thinking of doing a marathon to do this race as your first. Last updated: 2009-01-13 12:00 AM

Got up at 2:30, drank coffee, ate bagel with peanut butter, drank a glass of NOExplode and 48 oz of water on the drive over to the race site.
Stretching, walking around. Being nervous, if that counts.
