I am thinking about pulling the trigger for this race?  It is a great race--well run and great race.  Hope to see you BTers out there.

Yep - I'll be there. It is a good race. See you there. I ran it a couple of years ago and they didn't give out finishing medals like most 1/2 marathons do. Do you know if that has changed. It nice to walk away with something that shows your efforts.....

You know I don't recall.  I'll check my "stash" and see if I have anything.   I'm still not certain I'm going to pull the plug on this.  I did 12 last weekend.

I ran the SFHM last year and rec'd a medal for finishing. Although, I paid for the technical t-shirt but they ran out at the packet pick-up site. They took our information down but never sent us a shirt. I am likely to run again this year - maybe the second half that starts in GG Park.

I think this is the race you're talking about? This coming Sunday? This is my first time for this one but here is the link. http://xnet.kp.org/sanfrancisco/coursemap.html

It looks like it is very soon after Sloat, and hopefully not too far up the hill that goes out to Skyline! I bet it's only about a quarter mile or so...let's hope

Not sure why the thread is titled SF Half, since I think it's been marketed as the Kaiser Half...but I hope everyone has fun this weekend!

Nah--the course is mostly downhill and flat as a pancake--except for when you really want it mile 12/13.... :-)

Thanks for the help.  I hope it's not up the hill. It's my first half and i'm not sure if i could deal with a hill at this point.

So how'd everyone do? What a beautiful day, it was just gorgeous out there! I finished under my goal of 1:50 so that was exciting, but my Garmin said I ran 13.32 miles. The part along the great highway seemed to go on FOREVER. It was really cool to see the leaders flying back to the finish on our way out, though.

Well, hope all the BTer's had a good day
