Run
Comments: The goal was to run sub 2:10 or right around 10 minute/miles. Started off with Sean and were too slow, made up for it on the next and then with all the running around people the pace got a bit faster. I felt good as my splits show up until Mile 11. I was actually in some pain and discomfort at 5 but pushed through it. At 11 I stopped at water stations and walked through them, I knew I was going to have to walk but wanted to make sure I was making the most out of it so I waited for water stations. My stomach wasn't feeling good and my legs were shot. I struggled through 11 and 12 and just committed to finishing strong. I found a couple rabbits to chase and then just got in a rythm and finished. My legs were shot though and my knees hurt. It was definitely a mind over matter race at the end and for not training since before Thanksgiving I'm happy with the results. What would you do differently?: Train Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Not training, not planning better or at least not following through with my plan for nutrition. Last updated: 2008-12-03 12:00 AM
