Subject: RE: Treadmill Stress Test With Cardiologist This is a really interesting thread. I have a history of syncope (2 times just standing around and 2 times in triathlon in the past 8 years ).
After my first racing syncope about 3 years ago the docs found I had an elongated QT interval (they only found this on the day of the event ). and elevated enzymes that linked to possible heart issue. I also had extremely low potassium and sodium levels due to dehydration. After a week in the hospital and a ton of tests - stress test, echo, genetic testing for LQT syndrome, more EKGs, and a few months on Nadalol which made my HR drop into the upper 30s they decided I was just dehydrated.
