Subject: Looking for a kids bike - her first triathlon, 11 years old!
Hey Everyone,

I'm looking for a very inexpensive bike for a girl who just turned 11 years old and
doing her first triathlon (Tri The Rock Youth Triathlon - Castle Rock, Colorado). If
anyone has one or knows of someone, please let me know.

Not knowing where you are, but if you are in the Colorado Springs area you could contact FalFins Tri Team. Otherwise Craigslist is a good bet.

You can probably find an LBS that has a trade-in policy on kids' bikes.  Purchase the 1st one (used) then when they outgrow it you trade it in and pay 1/2 price for the next used one.  I did that when my kids were young.

Well, this 11 years old is certainly lucky - her grandparents bought her a brand new bike!!!!!
