Subject: Did CrossFit WOD on Monday. Wow! I officially joined a gym Monday and did a modified version of their WOD. It was: 5 sets involving:400m run30 box jumps (24" box)30 wall shots (20 lb ball) [repeat all]
I had to modify the last one because there is NO good place to do a wall shot at the gym. They have most of their walls mirrors. So I used yoga/pilates ball under my back, picked up an 8 lb ball and tossed towards a 45 degree trampoline (so the ball would come back to me). After catching it, I continued a backward motion, and then came forward to repeat. Holy cow! My abs are still feeling it, and I took a rest day (e.g., 3.5 mile run day) yesterday. I'm headed back to the gym tonight, and I'm curious to see how my body responds. Thanks for all the suggestions to use CrossFit. So far, it's kicking my ****. -Joel
