I'm in the last one - the 5:45 heat.  Hopefully that's the slowpoke-heat. Laughing

I saw the report and was debating taking an easy ride to the brewery before the race since it's supposed to be so nice out.

I did an hour and 20 mins or so outdoors last Sunday, the weather was awesome but by the time I got home I had a mud stripe up my back, and my feet were soaked right through the shoe covers and shoes but it was still awesome to be comfortable on the bike outside for that long!

I would like to do this TT to see how I will fare in the Multisport Expo TT as I am already having my doubts about that one since I am nowhere near where I would like to be as far as bike fitness goes.

As long as it is above 40 Sunday I will be riding outdoors getting wet and muddy again and loving it!

On the way to the Mass Pike after the last gathering I was wondering, where do people in the city ride. It doesn't seem like there are any open roads without a busy intersection that you can get down on the aerobars and just crank. Do you drive somewhere, or just ride out of the busy parts of the city and use that as a warm up?

Woah.... crap.  I just got an email that they totally changed the heats!!!!  The email says you may be up to an hour different, but now I'm at 2:15!  Um, that's a little more than an hour.  Time to shuffle around the calendar again...

Heats seem to now be comprised of 16 computrainers instead of 8, but somehow I'm still in a heat of 7... That's nice-- now I'll come in 7th in the heat instead of 16th

Oh, and one more new thing I missed in that email: Race course is going to be approximately 12k, not 15.

It says there are a few open spots left. I was thinking about joining in. I am just weighing my options here. $30 to register, $10 in tolls, I'm guessing I will have to pay to park somewhere, and 2 hours in the car round trip, or just stay home and ride outdoors for an hour and a half or so.

Maybe I can just do my ride in the morning and come to cheer all of you BT'ers on!

My email said parking is free for participants, so that shouldn't be a worry.  If you can get in, I'll glady buy you (or your lovely lady if she were to join you) a drink after, but no worries if it's a pain in the arse.  And if you end up in my 'general' heat, you are guaranteed not to be in last!

But, yes - I understand weighing the options... I'm in because I'm local., I know how much I will appreciate the two free drink tokens after the race and lastly because I need to get a handle on how limited my bike fitness really is.  Mostly because I need excuses to spend some time at one of my favorite breweries.
