Did anyone do it last year? I'm wondering what the water quality is for the swim?

Hi Slow Turtle...

 I am the race director and have swam a bunch of times in Lake Lauderdale. The water quality is fine. The local Lake Association invests a lot of time and money into making the clarity even better for the race. Hope to see you on August 1st!

Thanks! I actually drove by the lake, and a bit of the bike course a week or so ago. It looks great! I'm looking forward to doing the race. But you might be taking every thing down by the time I cross the finish line .

Not if my dad does it again. He did his 1st Olympic Distance last year (and only 3rd tri) and was the last one to cross the line - oh, I was proud of him at 62 years young! I was speechless on the mic!
