Pre-race routine:

arrived early; went to YMCA to change and use the facilities. Was so relaxed that I didn't bother to go to Eau Claire Market, where I would have received a chip. As it is, I ran the race without a chip.

Comments:

Felt strong - couldn't have run any faster considering I've only been training for 6 weeks and my longest run was 2 hours. The blisters on my foot tried to bug me but I ran through them. This is my fastest half marathon since 1997. I am very happy!
What would you do differently?:

Pick up a chip so I have an official time!
Post race
Warm down:

Walked back to YMCA to pick up my stuff. Stretched a tiny bit and walked to my car. Driving was not much fun! My hubby is going to give me a massage later :) (and I really mean massage!!)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing!

Event comments:

lots of volunteers considering the temperature. The volunteers were well-dressed for the weather and very cheerful. There was a free brunch at the Sheraton after but I went home to hang with my family. They didn't come because we thought it might be too cold for the kids (maybe it wouldn't have been... oh well)

Certainly a good result given your training. Not a bad day for the race, a little chilly, but not much wind right?
